Sometimes a little advice makes a big difference. Maybe you can't get your textures or colors quite right, or your painting just doesn't have the brilliance of the scene you're trying to paint. Or maybe you have a show coming up and you want to polish a few works for the big day. An outside perspective is extremely helpful, and with Jessica's 25 years teaching experience, she will help coach you in a positive direction highlighting what is going well and what could use a little TLC.
This is the Before picture painted by Maggie Watkins. It was a beautiful start to her lovely portrait, but there were just a few things that needed just a little tweaking to help make the painting really stand out. We met over Zoom for a personal 30 minute session, and discussed what was working and what could use a little treatment.
Maggie sent me her finished work and this was her finished work after the 30 minute critique session! Nice work Maggie!
Responses to Jessica's private critique sessions have been widely received and found to be very helpful. The difference with this new coaching offer is the opportunity interact with Jessica. Zoom gives her the chance to zero in on essential aspects of your work and you can discuss your questions in real time. Personal interaction and that new level of assisted coaching takes your artistic education to the next level. Some people feel a bit reluctant to share their work in a group setting. These new private sessions take away that feeling of intimidation and allow you to feel more relaxed.
On Fridays, Jessica is offering one-on-one, online, 25-minute coaching sessions. After you register, you'll receive an email asking for information and photos about your painting project, and a preferred date for your session.
And, so you won't have to madly scribble notes, you can record your session and review it later!
